The stock pistons of the new MQB engines often got broken ring lands, even on stock cars. There are some solutions on the after market to solve this issues, but are this the best ones? There is a big risk to get the same problemes with a die cast pistons, so what to do? Well, take an aftermarket forged piston? Not in our optinion, because this pistons got a T6 heat treatment, and this is just enough for some engines, these piston can shrink!
